Notes: Atlas of Surveillance (EFF/University of Nevada, Reno project) entry documenting that Oregon State Police had registered 44 active drones with the Oregon Dept. of Aviation as of 2024, based on the state’s public UAS registry (required under ORS 837.360). Cross-reference: a July 13, 2026 Oregon Capital Chronicle piece (syndicated statewide, e.g. Daily Astorian/Portland Tribune) reports OSP’s registered count has since grown to 66 as of late June 2026, making OSP the largest state-agency drone operator in Oregon (state agencies overall are about one-third of all registered drones; most come from cities/counties). Useful baseline figure for tracking OSP’s drone fleet growth over time alongside the MuckRock OSP drone-documentation request in this library.
